International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The United Nations chose January 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The date was chosen to commemorate the day in 1945 when the first concentration camp was liberated by the Russian army.  2015 marks 70 years since the liberation.

The Holocaust Museum is pleased to present the first in a series of documentaries in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.  The series, entitled “We Testify”, includes segments of the Oral/Visual History interview with several of our local Holocaust Survivors and Liberators.  This first episode, Testimony to Truth, features the stories of Ann Jacobson, Lorie Mayer, Anneliese Salamon, Hella Wartski, Abe Price and Peter Thomas.

The documentary was created by ABG World Video, using the resources of the Holocaust Museum & Education Center of Southwest Florida.
