On Sunday, January 6, 2019, Hank Bitterman will present a program on his father, Holocaust Survivor Mayer Bitterman. Mayer Bitterman worked with Oskar Schindler from 1943 – August 1944, before his factory closed and moved to the Czech Republic. A skilled worker, Bitterman was sent to Mauthausen, where he met Simon Wiesenthal. After the war he helped Wiesenthal with the testimony against the former Mauthausen guards in War Trials in Dachau. In looking into his father’s family, Hank found additional family members who survived the Holocaust as well as family photos.
