Visit the Museum in March to view Sanibel artist, Myra Roberts’ newest collection related to the Holocaust.
Over the past year, Myra has been working in mixed media to create this collection that depicts the willingness of the average citizen to be blind to the facts of the Holocaust. Using period interior design paintings and historic photos from the Holocaust, Myra has created a collection of collages sure to inspire discussion.

After Italy was liberated by the Allies, 982 refugees from 18 war-torn countries fled the Nazi terror in Europe during the Holocaust. In 1944, they sailed to the safety of America as guests of the U.S. government. The Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Center in Oswego, NY became their home for the next eighteen months.
Visit the Museum in February to learn about this element of WWII/Holocaust history through a traveling exhibit from the Safe Haven Museum and Education Center in Oswego, NY.
