In November of 1938, the event of Kristallnacht brought home the stark realization that Jews were no longer safe in the German Reich under Nazi leadership. Over a 24 hour period, homes and businesses belonging to Jews in Germany and Austria were targeted for destruction. Over 90 people were killed and upwards of 25,000 men and boys were taken to concentration camps. For many, this was the start of the Holocaust.
2013 markes the 70th anniversary of this major event and will be commemorated at Temple Shalom in Naples, led by the Catholic-Jewish Dialogue of Collier County.
The Museum will be CLOSED on Sunday, and we invite you to join us for this impactful event at Temple Shalom.
